Did you know that August is National Wellness Month?  As the summer comes to a close, many of us begin preparing ourselves for the impending fall.  This is a time that can often be busy with children and grandchildren returning to school, moving, and/or starting a new job.  Most of us don’t take the time to stop and think about taking care of ourselves or improving our wellness.  This is the purpose of declaring August National Wellness Month.  Here are some simple ideas that you can use to work toward improving wellness:

  1. Drink more water
  2. Exercise more
  3. Choose healthier snacks
  4. Practice deep breathing
  5. Reduce sugar intake
  6. Slow down & relax
  7. Stretch more
  8. Treat yourself to a massage

Even implementing one small change a month can make a big difference in how you feel.  So, put yourself first for once and make a commitment to better wellness
