9 Most Common Shoulder Problems
Lifting more than you can handle—don’t lift anything too heavy for YOU
Muscle imbalances—muscles all around the shoulder must be strong, not just your chest or biceps
Bursitis—a bursa is a fluid filled sac that acts as a cushion between bones, ligaments, and tendons. Overuse can cause bursa to become inflamed
Normal wear and tear—osteoarthritis and fraying of the rotator cuff tendons
Shoulder instability—some people have lax ligaments and are prone to dislocations
Shoulder impingement—the ligaments of the shoulder get trapped and pinched under the acromion process
Frozen shoulder—the connective tissues surrounding the shoulder thicken, cause pain, then restrict motion
If you have questions about the health of your shoulder, ask Mike, Chip, or Sharon.
