Deyle Mobilizations are a manual therapy approach to physical therapy that uses manual treatment and exercises to increase strength and movement, decrease pain, and improve joint functionality in patients with knee osteoarthritis.  Functional activities are tailored to each patient and emphasize strategic timing of exercises, the importance of mid-range movements and end-range challenges, and effective functional positioning.

Each activity requires deliberate design and strength is gained through increasing range of motion and participating in every day activities, such as walking or biking, in order to maintain motion and strength.  Some studies suggest a 2-5-year postponement of surgery using these techniques.  Michael and Chip are trained in the Deyle Mobilizations and can offer these techniques if you or a loved one is suffering from knee osteoarthritis.
