“The Camp Fire that hit Butte County, CA hit home for all of us at Turning Point Physical Therapy. I relocated from Magalia to the Rogue Valley last December and still owned a house in Butte County when the fire hit. The house, where I spent 20 years raising my children, was destroyed on November 8th in the fire. In addition to my house being a total loss, my elderly parents, who resided in Paradise, were evacuated and narrowly escaped the fire. The day of the fire, I was at work feeling helpless – wondering and worrying about my folks and the rest of my friends. My parents have been living with me at my home here in Oregon since the fire and we are all dealing with the aftermath (insurance claims, clean up, emotions) but, grateful that we have each other and we are all safe.
I want to thank my co-workers at Turning Point for being so supportive and for the comfort they have offered me through while we process the devastation that is our home community. I also want to thank the patients who were so generous and donated to the victims of the fire. It is overwhelming how kind and compassionate the community is here in the Rogue Valley!
Thank you to everyone!”
