A sacroiliac belt is an elastic support belt that is worn around the hips and pelvis in order to reduce pain and inflammation in the sacroiliac joint region (the joint that connects the hip to the spine), improve posture, and allow daily activity function.  It works by restricting SI joint movement and supporting the surrounding ligaments.  This decreases the stress on the joint and allows for pelvic alignment while increasing natural movements of the joint.

The belt is only worn around the hips and pelvis (not the back) with a snug fit and comes with adjustable straps in order to find a comfortable position.   Since the SI belt is lightweight, it can be worn under clothing while performing daily activities and exercising.
